KHARSALI TO YAMUNOTRI DHAM AND DRIVE TO HARSIL

Morning: Early Rise in Kharsali

As dawn breaks, wake up early and prepare for the challenging yet rewarding trek to Yamunotri Dham. Enjoy a simple breakfast and pack necessities like water, snacks, and warm clothes for the journey.

Janki Chatti – The Starting Point

Begin your trek from Janki Chatti, a quaint village known for its scenic beauty and spiritual significance. This place holds mythological importance as it marks the spot where Sita, Goddess Yamuna’s sister, waited for Lord Rama while he battled Ravana.

Hanuman Chatti – Where Rivers Meet

Follow the picturesque trail that winds through dense forests and lush meadows. Along the way, stop at Hanuman Chatti, a sacred confluence of the Hanuman Ganga and Yamuna rivers. Pilgrims often take a holy dip in this sacred spot and offer prayers to Lord Hanuman.

Phool Chatti – A Floral Paradise

Continue your trek towards Phool Chatti, a vibrant meadow named for its abundance of wildflowers. Here, you can soak in the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and take a break to relax and refuel.

Reaching Yamunotri Dham

Finally, after approximately 4-5 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at Yamunotri Dham, the source of the sacred Yamuna River and abode of Goddess Yamuna. The sight of the snow-capped mountains and the holy temple fills your heart with a sense of awe and reverence.

Afternoon: Holistic Dip in Garam Kund

Before entering the temple, immerse yourself in the hot water spring known as Garam Kund. This refreshing dip revitalizes the body and is believed to cleanse the soul, preparing you for the darshan of the Goddess.

Pooja and Darshan at Yamunotri Temple

Enter the Yamunotri Temple, built in the 19th century by Maharani Gularia of Jaipur. Offer your prayers and witness the serene idol of Goddess Yamuna adorned with colorful flowers. Feel the divine energy that fills the temple and seek blessings for peace and prosperity.

Surya Kund – Solar Blessings

Witness the Surya Kund, a natural hot spring believed to be blessed by the Sun God. Pilgrims offer rice and prayers to Surya Kund, seeking his divine blessings.

Divya Shila – A Divine Rock

Pay your respects to the Divya Shila, a sacred rock pillar located behind the temple. This rock signifies the pious King Bhagirath who brought the holy Ganga to Earth.

Scenic Trek Back to Janki Chatti

After a spiritually enriching experience, begin your trek back to Janki Chatti. Soak in the beauty of the surrounding landscapes and reflect on the blessings received at Yamunotri Dham.

Return to Kharsali and Transfer to Harsil

Upon reaching Janki Chatti, meet your driver and transfer back to Kharsali for a short break. Later, embark on a comfortable drive to Harsil, your base for the next day’s journey to Gangotri Dham.

Night: Overnight Stay in Harsil

Settle into your comfortable accommodations in Harsil and reminisce about the divine experience at Yamunotri Dham. Rest well, preparing for the next exhilarating adventure to the source of the holy Ganges River.

HARSIL- GANGOTRI-UTTARKASHI

With packed breakfast and post tea/coffee, depart for Gangotri early in the morning. Offering prayers and performing pooja darshan, later drive back to Uttarkashi, en route visit Gangnani. Overnight stay at Uttarkashi.

Gangotri

Gangotri temple is an 18th-century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva, and Ganga is believed to have touched the earth at this spot. According to another legend, the Pandavas performed the great Deva Yagna here to atone for the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite.

Rituals and Activities

• Perform Snan at Gangotri Ghat (VIP Ghat).
• Ganga Pujan & Aarti at Gangotri Ghat.
• Darshan of Bhagirath Shila.
• Darshan of Gauri Ganesha Temple.
• Finally, Gangotri Temple Darshan, followed by a visit to Surya Kund.

UTTARKASHI TO CHINYALISAUR AIRFIELD, TRANSFER, AND FLYBACK TO DEHRADUN SAHASTRADHARA AIRFIELD. NIGHT STAY IN DEHRADUN AS A BUFFER DAY IN HAND.

After an early breakfast, depart for Chinyalisaur airfield. Board the air for a scenic journey to Dehradun, with an estimated landing time by 10:30 AM. Transfer to the pre-booked hotel in Dehradun.

Enjoy a free day for personal activities or opt for optional sightseeing in Dehradun or Mussoorie. Overnight stay in Dehradun. This day serves as a buffer in case of delays or technical issues. Optionally explore Dehradun or arrange for additional sightseeing. Relax and prepare for the next leg of the journey.

Overnight stay in Dehradun, ensuring you have ample time to rest and rejuvenate before the next adventure.

DEHRADUN TO GAUCHAR FLYING & FURTHER TRANSFER TO SERSI OR PHATA (90 KM/ 03 HRS) FOR NIGHT STAY.

In the morning, transfer to Sahastradhara airfield and fly to Gauchar airfield.  From there, proceed to Sersi or Phata via road (90km, 3 hours). Check into the accommodation in Sersi, Phata, or Sitapur. Optional visit to Triyuginarayan Temple during the day (extra chargeable). Night stay in Sitapur, Sersi, or Phata as per pre-booked arrangement.

EARLY MORNING REPORTING TO AIRFIELD IN SERSI OR PHATA. FLY TO SHRI KEDARNATH JI SHRINE & FURTHER TO SHRI BADRINATH DHAM ON THE SAME DAY.

Early morning, report to the airfield in Sersi or Phata. Fly to Kedarnath for darshan and then proceed to Badrinath on the same day. Yatra assistance will meet you in Badrinath for land transfer to the temple for priority darshan. After completing darshan at both temples, stay back in Sitapur, Sersi, or Phata for the night. The order of visiting Kedarnath and Badrinath may vary based on weather and operational clearance.

SERSI/PHATA – GAUCHAR (90 KM/03 HRS) & FURTHER FLY BACK TO DEHRADUN. FINAL DEPARTURE TO YOUR HOME DESTINATION.

After a comfortable breakfast, embark on a 3-hours road journey towards Gauchar airfield. Fly back to Dehradun from Gauchar airfield. Upon arrival in Dehradun, transfer to the airport for the final departure. Alternatively, you can choose to make a night halt in Rishikesh or Haridwar, and our team can arrange hotels and other travel arrangements at reasonable prices. This marks the final day of the program, and we will ensure you are dropped off at the airport or railway station for your journey home.
